'An Roisin Dubh' (Irish Gaelic: The Black Rose)

'An Roisin Dubh' (The Black Rose) is the title of a well-loved Irish traditional slow air. This collage contains some of the actual music for 'An Roisin Dubh' from the O'Neill Book of Irish Traditional Music as well as music for other Irish melodies. It also contains hand tinted & textured papers, purchased papers, dried rose petals, dried hydrangea flowers and a small hand-painted black rose.

This collage was completed for a show at The State Botanical Gardens in Athens,GA which opens this Sunday (Jan. 13th). The collage, which is the sixth in the 'Molly's Orchid' series, contains hand painted & textured tissue paper, acrylic paint and dried orchids.
